About

Debbie is Comedy's Little Devil.

"The ever-smiling, gentle-looking, cutie-pie, rips into your funny bone with no warning. I have seen Robin Williams when he was working the rooms. Debbie Lockhart is in that same category. She KILLS without mercy and keeps on smiling! Continuous salvos of funny material and right on improv." – Julian Vazquez, Executive Producer, INside the Industry.

Debbie's addiction to applause started at the early age of 4 - as a superlative tap and jazz dancer. Herself and her dance troupe (of the acclaimed Terry Smith Dancers in Hayward, CA) went on to win the hearts and multiple dance competitions throughout the Bay Area for 12 years.

In high school, her love for entertaining (as well as winning championships) continued, as a cheerleader and award-winning Varsity Song Girl -
GO MARINERS! She also discovered her passion for acting within this institution with roles in "Guys & Dolls," and "No, No Nanette."

In college, (she attended UC Santa Barbara & received a Communications Degree with a Minor in Drinking & Partying) she fell in love.... with improvising. She became a regular cast member with the nationally touring improv team: Santa Barbara ComedySportz.

In Los Angeles, she studied with UCB, The Groundlings (Mindy Sterling and Mike McDonald... that's right!), and performed with L.A. TheatreSports, the Pack Theatre, and the amazing, all-female improv group, Duchess Riot!

In the Bay Area, where she currently resides, she is a member of Made Up Theatre's Main Cast -performing on various Friday & Saturday nights, and was just added to the San Jose ComedySportz Main Cast -performing with their team on various Friday and Saturday nights as well. See Show Schedule for specific dates.

Lockhart's stand up career took off in 2000 when she showcased at the World Famous Hollywood Improv. Since then, she has performed her unique, quirky, smart & fun act at clubs, theatres, casinos and colleges across the country and overseas. Lockhart headlined three military tours for Armed Forces Entertainment which took her from South America to Southwest Asia. By popular demand, Debbie returned to the Middle East to entertain troops in Saudi Arabia & Kuwait and a special show in
Djibouti, Africa.

Along with competing in several comedy competitions and festivals including the San Francisco Comedy Competition, SF Sketchfest and CA's Funniest Female Competition; Debbie has had starring roles in a number of independent films including, "Driving Bill Crazy" & "Dark Passenger" and the web series; "The Break Room," "The UNSocialites," and a YouTube Exclusive in which she wrote, edited and starred in:  "Level 3 Stand Up with Debbie Lockhart."
